flight facilities, future classic and the melbourne symphony orchestra collaborate to bring you flight facilities - live at the sidney myer music bowl. set under the stars of the outdoor amphitheatre at sidney myer music bowl on saturday 17 october, 12 000 fans witnessed flight facilities recreate their five year journey from their first dj mix to the release of their acclaimed debut album down to earth. the 15-track performance was captured live and mixed by aria award-winning engineer eric j dubowsky features musical guests touch sensitive, surahn, kurt kristen, owl eyes, katie noonan, george maple, reggie watts & emma louise. one night, one album, 90 piece orchestra 12.000 tickets sold in 3 hours.

this will be the first time the albums have been pressed to vinyl, following their debut 2008 (the sound of trees falling on people) and 2011 (+dome) releases, and marks the milestone signing to australia and electronic musics front running, award-winning label future classic (flume, flight facilities, jagwar ma). 30 tracks across two critically acclaimed albums, now featuring two unreleased vinyl-only locked grooves. it is a surprise that this album of sharp-edged, glacial, organic electronica, hails from sunny sydney, australia.

the journey continues. clone records continue with the re-issue series of the early catalogue of one of the most groundbreaking and influential techno acts ever. raw, uncompromising music made with soul and creativity that has always been the trademark of drexciya. this is the 4th release in the series and contains arguably some of their rarest and most astonishing tracks such as black sea, mantaray, hydro cubes and depressurization.

superb reissue of ron trent s all-time deep techno classic altered states. made when he was still school-age, and released in 1990 on armandos seminal warehouse label, this record was an immediate underground club hit, turning ron into a local hero, kickstarting his hugely successful production and djing career and making him probably the only chicago house producer to rate one of the best techno singles of all time! this classic acid workout is stunning in its simplicity and has been described as one of the most perfect and moving tracks ever heard. the other tracks are also very beautiful in their own right despite having been overshadowed by the epic altered states - the afterlife was included on dj hells x-mix-5. all tracks digitally remastered for superb sound quality

this ep picks up where those moments left off. windfall and lied are killer non-linear batty disco infused house jams that set dancefloors alight while try the impossible and in public are deeper jams for the more serious moments of club emotion if you can put it that way. a rare future classic club twelve inch for our deejay friends.

its the idea of doing an analogue only version of peoples interpretations of songs that they chose off of the album. so i approached four of my favourite producers of the moment that i felt fitted with the whole project. luke solomon

clone classic cuts continues their re-issues series for one of the most influential techno acts ever: drexciya. the second selection of tracks includes favorites such as bang-bang,positron island,anti vapour waves and journey home complimented with some lesser or unknown tracks. raw, uncompromising music made with soul and creativity have always has been the trademark of drexciya (and also from their original label underground resistance) and this album is another showcase of their talents. btw there is not much further background info we can give. all that can be revealed is already out there.

this is the first part (of four) of the much anticipated reissue series of drexciya s early catalogue, marking 20 years since the release of their first ep deep sea dweller , and 10 years since their final album grava 4 . one of the most influential techno acts ever, and part of the heritage of detroits underground resistance, drexciya explored techno like no-one else before: raw and uncompromising music that reflected the harsh environment of the city where drexciya was conceived, with a mythical approach that only added to their cult appeal. drexciya arguably stands for the darker side of techno and electro, made not only for the club scene, but a further development of the music as an expression and extension of the mind. journey of the deep sea dweller is a near-complete collection of their early works, released in four parts, with all audio remastered from the original master tapes. since the original releases have such a strong character and stand on their own, these reissue can never recreate the magic of those originals. instead, clone have stirred up the catalogue, taking tracks out of their original context, giving the committed fan a fresh experience and the new listener a document that is the best possible introduction to the aquatic world of drexciya.
